Kebron Tadesse · Software Engineer · San Diego
I build software end to end.
This site tells that story as a film.
Six real products — hiring, skincare, commerce, pet health, language, privacy — one scene at a time. Prefer the engineering write-up? It’s under 02 Detail, top right.
KEBRONTADESSE
I build because somethingmakes me curious enoughnot to leave it alone.
Every project
started with a reason.
Curiosity.
A problem.
Something I wish existed.
Something someone needed.
01 — Hiring platform
Worthy
Worthy is a hiring platform — a web app plus a browser extension where a team tracks every candidate from application to hire, in one place. Here’s how a candidate moves through it:

Multi-tenant SaaS. Web app + browser extension on shared packages. Exploring integrations across major recruiting ecosystems.
Vow
Know what you put on your skin.
Vow is an iOS app that identifies a skincare product through your camera and explains what’s inside it — so you can decide whether it belongs in your routine. Four steps:

Routine
It starts with a shelf full of promises — and a label most people never decode.
Point the camera. The app recognizes the product for what it actually is.
The label, decoded — what’s in it, and what that means for your skin.
Keep what belongs. Skip what doesn’t.

03 — Shopify infrastructure
Loop
Loop is a marketing platform for Shopify stores. It listens to real order, fulfillment, and delivery events — then turns them into offers, emails, and revenue attribution, automatically.
An order was delivered.
That became an event.
That event became an opportunity.
Porch-Drop — the flagship feature
When a package is actually delivered — not on a timer — the customer gets a single-use offer for a related product. Watch one order travel the system:
2,000+
automated tests hold it together
TypeScript · React · SQL · Shopify APIs · webhooks · async workers. Duplicate events are safe. Crashed steps resume.
loopapplication.com ↗04 — Vetmate · pet health, iOS

It started with food.
A dog ate something he was allergic to.
So I built a way to check first.
Vetmate is an iOS app that scans pet food, medication, and vaccine labels — and tells you whether what’s inside is safe for your pet. The check takes seconds:

Kistanigna is my people’s language.
Most languages get dictionaries
by default. Mine didn’t.

trilingual records — exactly
Kistane Dictionary is a free trilingual dictionary — search any of the three languages, save favorites, take quizzes, and explore cultural traditions. And it was built twice:
Two independent implementations — not a port. Built so the language my people speak exists where every language should.
06 — Mezgeb · encrypted vault, Flutter
Some files shouldn’t depend on someone else’s servers.
Most apps send your photos and files to someone’s cloud.
Mezgeb refuses the cloud — everything stays encrypted on your device.
Offline first.
An encrypted photo and file vault organized by the Ethiopian calendar. The core works with no network at all.github / mezgeb ↗
One thing about me.
When I lock in,
I really lock in.

Cut the noise.

Execute.
